CFP 2021 films program

 A touching and hopeful film about a medevac helicopter pilot who found peace within himself and with his mortal enemies when he tries to build a peace garden at the Khe Sanh Combat Base where he stationed during the Viet Nam war. 

 Twelve subjects with different disabilities from all over Brazil talk about Communication and the specific ways through which they connect with the world and with themselves. 

 This poetic hybrid documentary introduces us to three majestic abandoned buildings that witnessed Beirut’s tumultuous history, and
come to life through a casual conversation amongst themselves. 

 Inspired by a true story, "Jiyan" recounts the daily life of Nerol, a young Syrian Kurdish boy (17) who arrived in Switzerland without his parents.

He spends his winter in anxiety and insomnia because of his past (unknown to the viewer) and the situation of his mother who remained in the country, then in conflict.

 Women Warriors: The Voices of Change is a ground-breaking, 70 minute documentary film that honors the strength and heroism of global activists fighting for social justice, human and civil rights, LGBTQ rights, indigenous rights, environmental causes, minority rights, gender equality and for the right of every girl to an education.  

 Ali, a 10 year old boy who is obsessed with ninja turtles, is on the road from Beirut to the south with his sisters. Upon arrival, the bombing starts and Ali realizes that he forgot his Sega console at home. This leads him to take the utmost risk and go back to get his game. 

 Mariam undergoes a journey to find strength within herself through her culture and heritage, after the loss of her precious paradise. 

 Mizu discovers a small bud in the forest, everyday she goes back to water it. Over the years, Mizu and the
small tree grow together. One day, the forest is flooded and the tree helps to save her life.
